Ground Transportation Before Your Flight

Ground Transportation Before Your Flight

At International Life Flight, it is our goal to provide the highest quality service for those entrusting us with the task of air ambulance medical transportation. To achieve this goal, we provide bedside to bedside service, which ensures that the patient receives constant medical care from the time they are picked up from their current location until they reach their final receiving facility.

Our expert medical staff members coordinate the entire transportation process, so you don’t have to worry about any of the logistics. In addition to arranging the air ambulance medical flight, International Life Flight also coordinates transportation by ground. Depending on your condition, a car or an ambulance is arranged to transport you from the departing facility to the airport and then from the airport to the receiving facility. This also allows our medical team members the chance to communicate with the doctors and nurses at both medical facilities.

Prior to boarding the plane, International Life Flight crew members speak with the departing facility in order to acquire information that will help them to fully understand your condition and provide the best care while you are in their hands. A medical team member will complete a patient assessment and then, if necessary, transfer you from your current medical facility’s equipment onto the transportation equipment. Another team member coordinates with the medical facility staff to complete paperwork and any other documentation needed, which ensures that there is no miscommunication between any of the doctors, nurses or air ambulance medical crew members in regards to your condition.

After your flight, you will be safely carried from the plane and placed into an ambulance. The same medical crew members that are with you from the departing facility, and throughout your flight, will travel with you to the receiving facility. Once you arrive at your final destination, our medical staff members will then pass on any medical information to your new doctors and nurses. This helps us to provide our patients with a smooth transition and continuous, quality care, which decreases the chance of errors or other medical issues from occurring.

If you are in need of an air ambulance medical flight service, International Life Flight would be more than happy to help. For your convenience, we coordinate the entire transportation process, including both ground and air ambulances, to ensure continuous safety and care.
